2014 Global Hunger Index has been released by the International Food Policy Research Institute. State of hunger globally has improved since 1990; however, there are still 805 million who continue to go hungry each year. The Right To Food and Nutrition Watch has released the 2014 "Ten Years of the Right to Food Guidelines: Gains, Concerns and Struggles" which "discusses key policy processes and highlights the increasing influence of companies in international food and nutrition governance as a growing challenge in the global struggle for the right to adequate food." FAO has released the "The State of Food Insecurity in the World 2014" : The latest FAO estimates indicate that global hunger reduction continues: about 805 million people are estimated to be chronically undernourished in 2012–14, down more than 100 million over the last decade, and 209 million lower than in 1990–92.
